Multi-web marketing may be the secret you are looking for and the concept of link-backs is the secret affiliate marketers are not talking about. You don't see this information in the FREE guides and eBooks. Read on and you will learn the hidden secret that makes all this make sense and all it will cost you is a few more minutes.

Multi-web marketing is simply using multiple websites to market yourself and your product or service. This is also a popular element of most internet marketer's business model. The concept is easy enough to understand. You build and maintain several websites. You include links to all your sites on each site. You rotate your links so that each site gets traffic.

Since each of your sites will have similar content and advertising, your will still be able to drive traffic to your products. Suddenly something is making sense, isn't it. Now all those different banners on all your affiliate sites take on new meaning. It took me several weeks to figure this out but when I did and I began multiplying my websites my traffic doubled, tripled and quadrupled in a matter of days.

I would bet you are thinking, but, that can get expensive. No, I'm not a mind reader. That was the first thing through my mind when the realization hit me that I needed to get more websites and domain names. But there is a solution. Free websites.

You can search for FREE Website Hosting and similar terms and receive hundreds, if not thousands of results. I ran this search last night and got over 300,000 hits. Now granted that many of these results lead to hosting services that require you to have advertising banners placed by the host server. These are called ad supported services. There are many, however, that do not have this requirement and you can build websites using the online web editors included with these sites to get your new website online fast. I created two such sites yesterday in a matter of hours.

Some important things to consider if you decided to use multiple websites with similar content and link-backs.

CONTENT

Content is key on the internet. If you have a website that is primarily banner ads you will find yourself locked out of the search engines. This is because the search engines like Google and Yahoo realize that the people using their services are looking for information. You are much better off using textual links within the content on your site to link to your affiliates or products, than placing a banner image complete with all the fancy flash effects. Even if you include an alt tag, the textual option that you can place within an image tag will not result in a high content rating by the search engines.

Duplication is deadly. Now, this does not mean you cannot recycle content from your blogs and other sites, but you never want to copy and paste from one site to another without making changes to the text. Remember, content is king and unique content is the most desirable. If you are not comfortable writing content for your website you may want to hire someone, or if you are on a limited budget but still need content, consider recruiting that relative that just loves to write or a college student that needs practice writing.

Content should also offer a level of quality that is consistent across all your sites. Again, each site can be a little different and the content fresh but the quality of the information you serve up should be worth the time of the reader. You may also consider creating several websites with slightly different themes within your niche.

For example. One of my primary internet activities is affiliate marketing, but within that I also build websites and write articles, like this one, to help increase the traffic to my websites. I have a website that is devoted to website development and the affiliates on that site are hosting companies and domain name services. Another site is a blog type site about writing for online eZines, like this one, and yet another gives offers of resources for internet marketers.

All of these sites are within the niche of internet marketing, and each one serves the purpose of driving traffic to my affiliate programs and increasing my visibility on the web.

A word on blogs. Yes, you can recycle your blog content on your many sites. It is probably best to rotate it across sites rather than just inserting all the content from each blog into one place. Search engines love blogs because of the content and the traffic. If you do not have your own blog stop what you are doing and get one. And remember, if you are depending on a blog site like the one available on Google you may wake up one morning to find all your content gone! And there is nothing you can do about it. Imagine if that now deleted blog was the result of months, or even years of work?

So get over to your blog spot and copy every single post onto your computer. You can paste each post into a separate text file or you can create one large word document. As long as you have your content, just in case.

And NOW for The BIG SECRET

The other advantage of multiple websites is the link-back. Search engines look for two primary things when they spider a site. First, they are looking for content. The more the better. Second, the are looking to see if the website is already getting any visitors. They do this by looking at how many links point to the site, not how many point away from it. This is the other Secret that online marketers of affiliate programs don't explain to you.

You have seen all the claims from these marketers, and you have even joined several programs but all you see is them getting richer while you are working harder. What gives? Where is your piece of the pie. Think about this.

Affiliate marketers sell you on selling their products and services. Now you go out and insert links to their sites on all of your sites. They get traffic and a high rank on the search pages because of all the links to their offers from all their affiliates. if you are lucky you earn a little commission. The BIG QUESTION is, are they linking back to your sites? What are they doing to help you get ranked? Are they connecting to you so that you too are included in the web of concentric links throughout the system and getting higher rankings on the search pages? No. You are just out there with a one way connection to deposits and little or no means of return.

Consider your options. Consider multi-web marketing and you may suddenly find yourself in the position of all those affiliates. Multiple links from your offers and more importantly, links to your sites. Now that you know the secret what are you going to do with it?
